Principal's Message
Principal Jimmy Lamb

Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members,
Welcome to the start of another incredible school year! I am thrilled to welcome both our returning families and those who are new to our community. Every new school year brings a fresh wave of energy, and this year holds a very special milestone for me personally. This year marks my 7th year leading our middle school and my 24th year in education.
Looking back at my career, I am incredibly grateful for the experiences that brought me to where I am today. My educational tenure has allowed me to see student growth from several unique perspectives—both in the classroom, in the front office, and on the athletic fields:
I began my career in the High School classrooms, teaching Social Studies. It was there that I fell in love with helping students connect history to their everyday lives and develop critical thinking skills. Alongside teaching and administration, sports have always been a massive part of my journey. Working with kids through athletics has given me some of my favorite memories. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Varsity Football Coach, an Assistant Varsity Coach, a Freshmen Basketball Coach, and coaching Middle School Football as well as Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball. I later transitioned into administration, serving as a High School Assistant Principal for two years. This role deepened my understanding of school operations, student support systems, and the importance of building a strong, unified school culture. For the past six years, I have had the privilege of serving right here at the middle school level—and I can truly say it is right where I am meant to be.
People often joke about the challenges of the middle school years, but whether I am in the hallways or coaching on the court, I absolutely love working with this age group. Middle school is a time of immense transformation, discovery, and growth. Middle school students are navigating a unique bridge between childhood and young adulthood. They are curious, vibrant, incredibly witty, and capable of amazing things. Watching them discover who they are—and helping them find their voices—is the most rewarding part of my day.
An excellent education is a collaborative effort. Whether your child is passionate about academics, the arts, or sports, our success relies heavily on the strong partnership between our school, your homes, and the broader community. My door is always open, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure our students feel safe, valued, challenged, and supported every single day.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children. Let’s make this a fantastic year!
Warm regards,
Jimmy Lamb
